There are no sunrises and sunsets in Bangkok. Every morning has been overcast and when the sun gets high enough on the horizon, it eventually burns through the haze. From about 6 until 7 in the evening the sun illuminates the city with a beautiful orange glow before disappearing back into the haze.
Chopsticks are used less than I expected. In my limited experience, a spoon is always provided, accompanied by a fork most of the time. Apparently, Thais only use the spoon to put food into their mouth, not the fork.
Like is says on wikipedia, being in Bangkok is like an assault on your senses. The thick muggy air is full of smog, smoke and wonderful aromas of Thai street food. Not to mention the motorbikes, tuk tuks and taxis wizzing by.
Sounds like you are having a good time! :) Put up more pictures!!
ReplyDeleteHi Joel, I'm enjoying your pictures. Would like a caption with them so I know what I am looking at. Very interesting!
